Joy Henkle writes for another blog–a whitewater rafting, kayaking, and hiking blog–www.whitewaterraftingblog.com. She has also authored several articles on outdoor activities in southern Oregon which have been published by other bloggers, internet sites, and national magazines. She and her husband, Bob Meister, own Whitewater Warehouse…a company that runs rafting, kayaking and hiking trips on southern Oregon’s Rogue River. Henkle is inspired by Oregon’s regional foods and wines and loves to incorporate them into Whitewater Warehouse’s meals. She also enjoys writing about the interesting food artisans that are unique to Oregon.

Henkle & Meister also own a 170 acre Willamette Valley Christmas tree farm…which keeps them busy in the winter.
